— MECHANICAL ENGINEER, CSD FILLING LINE

Role Overview

Manage mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of the Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD) filling line to ensure reliable production, consistent filling quality and minimum equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and troubleshoot counter-pressure filling machines, rinsers, cappers, conveyors and associated packaging equipment.

- Inspect and service filling valves, seals, bottle lifting mechanisms, capper heads, pumps, gearboxes and pneumatic components.
- Investigate mechanical causes of uneven filling, product leakage, excessive foaming, bottle jams and capping defects.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance, machine overhauls and scheduled shutdown activities.
- Carry out root cause analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise fitters and coordinate with production,



quality and instrumentation teams for secure equipment restart.
- Support bottle-size changeovers, machine alignment and line performance improvements.
- Maintain breakdown records, maintenance schedules and critical spare parts inventory.
- Follow food hygiene, machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures.

Candidate Requirements

- Direct hands-on maintenance experience on CSD filling lines is mandatory.

- Strong knowledge of counter-pressure filling, mechanical drives, pumps, bearings, seals and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and breakdown analysis.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend urgent breakdowns.
