Review material test certificate.
Able to evaluate carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel, alloy and other material.
Verify chemical composition and other material classes.
Review tensile, impact, hardness and bend test results.
Review NDT reports, including UT, RT, MT and PT.
Evaluate uniform corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, galvanic corrosion, erosion corrosion, stress corrosion cracking.
Identify root cause such as fatigue, brittle fracture, corrosion, hydrogen damage or improper heat treatment.
Knowledge of ferrous and non - ferrous metallurgy.
