We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Harnesses to lead wire harness manufacturing, electrical assembly, and airframe interconnection for UAV platforms. This execution-focused role translates wiring and installation designs for flight control, power distribution, and communication systems into production-ready assemblies meeting aerospace-grade quality, reliability, and performance requirements. Working with Mechanical and Electrical Production, the integration & assembly team, and the PCB manufacturing engineer, you will own harness installation, RF integration, and interconnection validation.

The role includes standardized manufacturing processes and ownership of harness Manufacturing BoM creation and management (Product Tree), engineering changes (ECO/ECR), and releases, ensuring configuration control, traceability, and alignment between design and production.

Key responsibilities –

- Develop, standardize, and continuously improve EWIs, OMS, and SOPs for harness manufacturing and installation.
- Ensure robust harnessing practices covering wire preparation, crimping, soldering, connector termination, EMI shielding, routing, and strain relief.
- Manage RF integration, including antenna placement and coaxial cable routing, to minimize interference.
- Optimize harness and electrical assembly processes; co-own electronic system installation and interconnection within the airframe with the integration & assembly team.




- Drive MES implementation for harness manufacturing standardization and digitization; design and implement workflows for real-time visibility and traceability.
- Map and analyze harness processes, including routing, cycle time, takt time, and material flow.
- Standardize manufacturing data, including work instructions, routing, machine parameters, and quality checkpoints for harness processes.
- Establish harness and test traceability frameworks aligned with production and quality requirements.
- Define workstation layouts, line balancing, and operator allocation to meet takt and efficiency targets.
- Support production assembly and procurement (SCM), including wire, connector, and cable sourcing, harness outsourcing, and functional testing at IQC and vendors.
- Investigate and resolve harness and interconnection failures using multimeters and harness testers; coordinate board-related failures with the PCB manufacturing engineer.
- Lead harness and electrical integration NPI from prototype to full-scale production, ensuring scalable manufacturing.
- Implement harness and electrical subsystem assembly and testing to improve process stability, repeatability, and defect reduction.
- Validate and install harness manufacturing tools, equipment, fixtures, and automated testers; establish continuity, insulation, and functional checks.
