Job Purpose

Manage the organization's direct tax function by ensuring compliance with tax regulations, effective tax planning, timely filings, and productive handling of tax assessments and audits.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

- Drive tax planning initiatives to optimize the organization's tax position.
- Assess tax implications of business transactions and regulatory changes.
- Support management on tax risk mitigation and compliance matters.

Financial

- Manage quarterly advance tax calculations and payments.
- Oversee annual income tax return filing and related compliances.
- Ensure timely withholding tax (TDS) compliance and reporting.




- Manage tax provisions and support financial reporting requirements.

Operational

- Lead tax audits, transfer pricing audits, and related compliance activities.
- Handle tax assessments, notices, and departmental queries.
- Coordinate annual legal confirmations for open tax assessments and litigations.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities to ensure timely closure of matters.

Job Specifications

Educational Qualification

- CA or Equivalent

Years of Experience

- 8+ years

Relevant Experience

- Experience in direct taxation, transfer pricing, tax audits, assessments, and compliance within a manufacturing organization.
