SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to lead our DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure team while remaining highly hands-on with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation.

This is a player-coach role. You will manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers while personally contributing to architecture, infrastructure development, automation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

A strong candidate will embrace AI-assisted engineering, leveraging tools such as Anthropic Claude and AWS Kiro to accelerate infrastructure development, SRE operations, cost optimization,

and SDLC workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Engineering Management

· Lead, manage, and mentor a team of DevOps/Cloud Engineers, providing technical direction, coaching, and career development.

· Establish team priorities, engineering standards, and best practices while partnering with Engineering, Security, and Product leadership.

· Remain hands-on in the code and infrastructure , personally contributing to Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automation, troubleshooting, and architecture.

· Participate in hiring, performance management, technical planning, and resource allocation for the DevOps function.

AWS Infrastructure

- Design, provision, and manage scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CDK .
- Own and optimize AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, API Gateway, ALB/NLB, and WAF .
- Design and manage secure AWS networking including VPCs, subnets, routing, NACLs,



security groups, DNS, and load balancing.
- Configure Route 53 for DNS, failover, and multi-region routing.
- Establish cloud security, least-privilege access, network segmentation, and compliance standards.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and cost, driving continuous optimization.
- Lead cloud architecture reviews and AWS Well-Architected assessments.

Azure & Multi-Cloud

- Design and manage Azure infrastructure including Virtual Networks, VMs, AKS, managed databases, IAM, and resource groups.
- Implement Azure Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and ARM templates.
- Support AWS/Azure integration for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS · 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related engineering role.

· 3-5 years of experience as a team lead and/or manager with proven ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.

· Experience leading or managing DevOps/Cloud Engineering teams while remaining hands-on technically.

· Experience completing audits to maintain SOC2, FEDRamp, and/or ISO certifications.

· Deep hands-on expertise with AWS, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53,



API Gateway, ALB/NLB, WAF, and related services.

· Strong AWS networking and security experience, including VPCs, routing, DNS, load balancing, security groups, NACLs, and IAM.

· Hands-on Linux administration experience with AWS Linux and Ubuntu.

· Hands-on Windows Server experience including Active Directory, Group Policy, patching, and security configuration.

· Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud services.

· Strong production Kubernetes/EKS experience, including networking, storage, security, and cluster management.

· Production experience with Istio, including traffic management, mTLS, Envoy, observability, and security policies.

· Proficiency with ArgoCD and GitOps.

· Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

· Robust Docker and Amazon ECR experience, including image optimization, security, lifecycle management, and vulnerability scanning.

· Proficiency with Terraform and AWS CDK.

· Hands-on experience with Anthropic Claude and/or AWS Kiro for infrastructure, SRE, cost analysis, or SDLC acceleration.

· Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages; TypeScript/Python with AWS CDK is a plus.

· Solid networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, load balancing, and firewalls.

· Experience with secrets management such as AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or External Secrets Operator.
