Role Summary

Northstar Overseas Trading is hiring an experienced Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to lead international multi-modal operations (ocean, air, cross-border trucking), export/import clearance, customs compliance, and freight procurement. This role requires expertise in Indian customs (ICEGATE, Shipping Bills, RoDTEP/Drawback), US import regulations (FDA, FSVP, ISF), freight negotiation, and multi-shipment tracking.

Key Responsibilities

- Indian Customs & Export Compliance: Manage end-to-end export procedures via ICEGATE, Shipping Bills, AD Code registration, and export incentive claims (LUT, RoDTEP, Duty Drawback). Resolve port holds at Mundra/Nhava Sheva.
- Freight & Multi-Modal Execution: Coordinate FCL ocean shipments (bookings, stuffing, VGM, BL issuance) and urgent air freight (AWB, chargeable weight). Manage factory-to-port trucking and international cross-border transport (e.g., Dar es Salaam to Lubumbashi, DRC).
- US & International Regulatory Compliance:



Oversee US import requirements, including ISF, Customs Bonds, and FDA compliance (Food Facility Registration, Prior Notice, FSVP). Resolve FDA/Customs detentions.
- Freight Procurement & Cost Management: Negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines, airlines, and forwarders. Benchmark freight quotes and audit invoices to prevent unauthorized surcharges and demurrage.
- Tracking & Operations Management: Oversee 100+ active monthly shipments using ERP systems (Odoo, Excel) and prepare daily tracking reports for management.

Key Requirements
- Experience: 7–10 years in international logistics, ocean/air freight forwarding, and export/import operations.
- Regulatory Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of Indian export procedures, ICEGATE, Incoterms 2020, and US FDA/FSVP regulations.
- Commodities Handled: FMCG, food products, packaged goods, and regulated merchandise.
- Systems: Proficient in Odoo ERP and advanced MS Excel.
