Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain custom Linux OS patching tools and automation frameworks.

- Build automated patching solutions using Ansible playbooks and Shell/Bash scripting.

- Develop, build, and maintain custom Docker and Podman container images for deployment and patching workflows.

- Automate system lifecycle management, patch deployment, and configuration processes across Enterprise Linux environments.

- Work with RHEL 8/9/10 and package management technologies, including DNF/YUM.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Linux patching, package dependencies, containers, and automation workflows.

- Work with Linux package management and system management infrastructure, including Uyuni, Spacewalk, or similar platforms.

- Apply knowledge of Linux OS internals, networking, storage, and security best practices to build reliable automation solutions.

- Use Git-based workflows to manage automation code, version control, and collaborative development.

- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through reusable scripts, automation frameworks, and custom-built tools.





- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance deployment processes and automation capabilities.

- Provide technical support for installing, configuring, and operating the developed solution.

- Maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, installation guides, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- 8-13 years of experience working with Enterprise Linux environments, particularly RHEL 8/9/10.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Ansible, Shell/Bash scripting, and automation development.

- Proven ability to write Ansible playbooks from scratch and develop reusable automation solutions.

- Experience in designing and building automated Linux OS patching tools.

- Hands-on experience developing or building Docker containers; knowledge of Podman is required.

- Solid understanding of Linux OS internals, networking, and storage fundamentals.

- Hands-on experience with DNF/YUM package management.

- Experience with automated patching and Linux system lifecycle management.

- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and automation code management.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
