Legal Intern
About Us
Resollect is a Mumbai-based startup fixing how debt recovery works in India. We work with banks, asset reconstruction companies (ARCs) and NBFCs, and the industry has been stuck with clunky, manual processes for far too long. We're changing that by combining legal processes (SARFAESI, Sec 13(2), Sec 14, DRT) with smart automation, clean design, and AI that actually does something useful. We're a small, founder-led team with deep domain expertise, and we move fast.
The Role
Debt recovery in India runs on law: SARFAESI, the RDB Act, DRTs and magistrate courts. We're looking for a Legal Intern who wants to see banking law in practice, not just in a textbook, and who's excited about how technology and AI can make legal work faster and more consistent.
You'll work on live matters for banks, NBFCs and ARCs, and help us build the legal templates and AI tools that power our platform.
What You'll Do
Draft and review SARFAESI documents: Sec 13(2) demand notices, Sec 13(4) possession notices, and Sec 14 applications before the CMM / DM.
Support DRT matters: research and drafting for original and securitisation applications, and tracking hearings and case status.
Do legal research on SARFAESI, the RDB Act, IBC and recent judgements, and summarise what changes for our clients.
Review loan and security documents (loan agreements, MODTs, guarantees) for enforceability gaps.
Build and improve legal templates and the prompts behind our AI drafting tools, and quality-check AI output.
Coordinate with panel advocates and keep case trackers accurate.
What We're Looking For
Strong drafting. Exact, clean legal English.
Solid research skills on SCC Online, Manupatra or similar.
Obsessive attention to detail. A wrong date or section number in a notice matters.
AI-curious. You're interested in using AI to draft, review and research faster, and in checking its work critically.
Organised and reliable with deadlines and follow-ups.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Prior internships in banking, debt recovery, litigation or a law firm's banking & finance team
Exposure to DRT or magistrate court proceedings
Hindi or Marathi (useful for notices and local coordination)
Why This Might Be Worth Your Time
You'll get hands-on with recovery law that most law students only read about.
You'll see how legal-tech is built, and help build it.
You'll work directly with the founder and legal team, on real client matters.
Strong performers have a real shot at a full-time role.
If you like precise drafting, want to see banking law in action, and are curious about where AI fits into legal work, we'd like to meet you.
This is a paid internship.
