Purpose/Objective

Responsible for Lead Operation Squad(Distribution) activities.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Lead Operation Squad(Distribution) Fault Isolation and Supply Restoration: Rapidly identify and isolate faulty sections of the network to restore supply.

Conduct thorough route inspections to ensure the integrity of the distribution system.

Operate 11/22/33 kV switchgear for effective load transfer during outages.

Safely operate oil/SF6 type switchgear and manage rack in/rack out of breakers while adhering to safety norms.

Breaker Tripping Response: Perform physical inspections and respond to relay actions for distribution transformer (DT) and LT breaker tripping.

Identify and address abnormalities promptly, ensuring supply restoration.

Obtain necessary permits to work and execute restoration activities efficiently.

Transformer and SCADA Management: Address issues related to power transformer tripping, conducting physical inspections and reporting abnormalities.

Isolating Faulty sections and electrical devices from healthy network by racking out breakers.

Engage in FRTU rebooting and tap changing as required.

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures: Execute LOTO procedures during maintenance and fault management to ensure the safety of personnel and prevent accidental equipment energization.

Ensure proper lockout of equipment and tagout of controls to maintain a safe working setting during fault rectification.





Consumer Support: Attend to HT consumer tripping’s and provide timely outages while maintaining communication with affected consumers.

Inspect consumer installations, generate test reports, and ensure prompt restoration of supply.

Contingency Support: Assist the HTM team during contingencies by managing 22/33 kV jumper connections/disconnections and DG set operations.

Ensure safety protocols are followed while isolating cable sections and restoring supply from external sources.

Data Management and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of substations, including equipment checks and civil structure evaluations.

Accurately update load reading data in SAP for analysis and system improvement.

Perform manual testing of fault passage indicators on-site and report findings.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: BE/B.

Tech degree in Electrical Engineering.

Work Experience (Range of years): Minimum 5 years Preferred Industry: Networks and Commercial Experience in Power Industry
