Lab Assistant - AICTE IDEA Lab

1. Job Purpose

To operate and maintain laboratory equipment and provide technical support for PCB design, electronics, prototyping, machining, welding and 3D printing activities.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Design, fabricate and assemble PCBs and electronic circuits; support hardware testing and prototype development.
- Operate laser machining, TIG/MIG and laser welding systems, CNC routers, cutting equipment and surface grinding machines.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers and other laboratory equipment.
- Provide technical support to faculty, research scholars and students across all schools and centres.
- Troubleshoot equipment and hardware issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Supervise students during machine operations and ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment usage, maintenance and inventory records.





3 Experience Relevant experience in electronics, PCB fabrication, machining, welding, 3D printing or laboratory equipment maintenance is preferred. Academic or industrial experience will be an added advantage.
1. Required Skills

- Hands-on knowledge of electronics, prototyping and advanced manufacturing equipment.
- Robust troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of machine safety procedures and laboratory risk management.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualifications Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
