Cognoro Technologies Private Limited is a technology company building and operating SaaS products for different business sectors. Our current products include QRDinesOS and other web-based business-management platforms.

We are looking for a Junior Software Tester / QA Engineer who is detail-oriented, curious, and genuinely interested in finding problems before customers do.

Freshers with strong software-testing fundamentals are welcome to apply.

About the Role

You will work closely with our development team and founders to test live and upcoming SaaS products.

This is not only a basic “click through the application” testing role. We want someone who can gradually take ownership of product quality, regression testing, bug reporting, API testing, release validation, and eventually basic test automation.

You will receive hands-on exposure to real web applications and production releases.

Responsibilities

- Test web-based SaaS applications manually.
- Perform functional, smoke, sanity, regression and exploratory testing.
- Understand requirements and create practical test scenarios.
- Write and maintain test cases and checklists.
- Identify UI, functional, workflow and data-related issues.
- Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected result, actual result, screenshots or recordings.
- Retest developer fixes and perform regression testing.
- Test applications across browsers, screen sizes and devices.
- Test APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Perform basic database validation using SQL where required.
- Verify forms, validations, permissions, authentication and user flows.
- Test third-party integrations where applicable.
- Perform pre-release testing.
- Perform smoke testing after deployments.
- Help maintain release and regression checklists.
- Reproduce production issues reported by customers.
- Communicate defects clearly with developers.
- Learn and gradually contribute to automated testing.
- Help improve QA processes as the company and product portfolio grow.

Automation & AI Cognoro uses AI-assisted development and testing workflows.

The selected candidate should be open to learning modern QA tools, including AI-assisted test-case generation, debugging support and test automation.

We do not expect a fresher to know advanced automation from day one. However, we expect a willingness to learn tools such as Playwright over time.
