Overview:

This role is primarily visual, focused on creating reels, graphics, and infographics—while working closely with technical teams to translate data-heavy sustainability topics (energy, climate, urban systems) into clear, engaging digital content.

You will take ownership of content across projects, ensuring alignment between our work, messaging, and visual communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage organic social media content calendars (Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter).
- Create visual-first content (reels, carousels, infographics) with supporting captions.
- Design graphics (Canva or similar) and edit short-form video content.
- Interpret technical and data-driven inputs and translate them into transparent digital formats. (e.g. GHG reports, solar feasibility, policy insights → visual content)
- Support execution of paid campaigns (Meta, occasional Google Ads).
- Attend events and stakeholder meetings to capture and develop content.
- Manage content for 2–3 projects with ownership and accountability.
- Track basic performance metrics and support optimisation.





Required Skills

- 6–12 months experience OR strong portfolio in digital content/communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English (supporting visual content).
- Strong working ability in Canva (or similar) for regular content creation.
- Ability to understand and communicate structured or technical information.
- Comfortable working with data, research, or sustainability-related topics.
- Good organisational skills and ownership mindset.
- Basic video editing skills.

Preferred Skills & Background

- Tamil language proficiency (preferred).
- Exposure to Meta Ads and basic understanding of paid campaigns.
- Background in Science/Maths/Environmental Studies or related fields.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Auroville (Kalpana Community), with occasional short travel, mostly within Tamil Nadu.
