Job Title: Junior Procurement Engineer

About the Role:

You will handle day-to-day purchase execution: releasing POs, following up with suppliers and job-work vendors, and making sure material reaches production on time. You will work closely with production, stores,

quality and accounts.

Reports to: Head – Production & SCM

Key Responsibilities:

1. Purchase orders & follow-up

•

Collect quotations and prepare comparisons for approval

•

Release POs on time against approved requirements

•

Follow up daily on open POs and flag delays or shortages early

2. Job-work coordination

•

Send the correct material, quantities and drawings to job-work vendors (machining,



finishing, assembly)

•

Track work in progress and ensure timely return

•

Reconcile quantities and handle rejections or rework with the quality team

3. Documentation & invoice matching

•

Match invoices against POs and GRNs, and resolve differences with vendors and accounts

•

Keep PO, quotation, challan and job-work records updated in ERP

4. Reporting

•

Share a weekly report on pending POs, overdue deliveries and shortagesRequired Skills & Attributes:

•

Minimum 2–3 years in purchase or procurement at a manufacturing company

•

Working knowledge of POs, quotations, invoices and GRNs

•

Comfortable with Excel and an ERP system

•

Persistent follow-up and ownership of delivery commitments

Good to Have:

•

Exposure to electronic or mechanical components

•

Experience working with machining, sheet metal, anodising or powder-coating vendors

•
