Role Description The Housekeeping Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Sterling Hospitals, Gandhidham. This role is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in patient rooms, clinical areas, public spaces, and support areas. Key tasks include planning and assigning work schedules, monitoring cleaning procedures, inspecting areas for quality, and ensuring adherence to hospital infection control and safety protocols.

The Housekeeping

Supervisor will coordinate with the laundry team, manage housekeeping supplies and equipment, address patient and visitor service requests,



and collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to support a clean and comfortable environment. The role also involves training and mentoring housekeeping staff, handling performance issues, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting related to housekeeping activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, performance monitoring, and staff training.
- Candidates should possess housekeeping skills, including knowledge of cleaning techniques, hospital hygiene standards, infection control practices, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Candidates should possess laundry-related skills, including understanding of linen management, handling of hospital textiles, and coordination with laundry services for timely and hygienic supply.
- Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills, including the ability to respond to patient and visitor requests, handle feedback professionally, and coordinate effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
- Relevant experience in housekeeping supervision in a hospital, healthcare facility, or large institution is highly beneficial.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records, reports, and checklists are preferred.
- A diploma or certification in hospitality management, housekeeping, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, follow safety protocols, and uphold Sterling Hospitals’ standards of ethical and patient-centric care
