Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms and hotel public areas. The role involves ensuring that all assigned areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness standards and that guests enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards and procedures.
- Make beds, change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, toilets, showers, and washbasins.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and other surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain corridors and public areas.
- Replenish toiletries, drinking water, and other room supplies as required.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, lost and found items, and unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
- Handle guest belongings with care and maintain guest privacy and confidentiality.
- Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness in housekeeping pantries, linen rooms, and storage areas.
- Coordinate with the front office and maintenance departments regarding room status and repair requirements.
- Respond politely and promptly to guest requests.
- Follow hotel hygiene, health, safety, and security policies.




- Complete assigned tasks within the required time and report completed rooms to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of room cleaning procedures and hygiene standards is an advantage.

- Guest service and skilled behaviour.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Teamwork and communication.
- Safe handling of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Performance Standards:

- Guest rooms and assigned public areas must meet hotel cleanliness standards.
- Rooms must be prepared within the expected turnaround time.
- Guest amenities and linen must be replenished correctly.
- Guest complaints and maintenance issues must be reported promptly.
- Hotel property, equipment, linen, and supplies must be handled carefully.

Overall Objective: To ensure a clean, hygienic, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all hotel guests while maintaining the hotel’s service and quality standards. Salary & Benefits:
