Job Title- Head – AWS & Anthropic Ecosystem Competency

Location- Bengaluru preferred; other Sonata India hubs considered

Roles and Responsibilities

Offerings and solutions

- Define and productize AWS offerings across the three competency tracks: AI-led operations and legacy modernization, cloud application modernization and AI-driven engineering, and AI-ready data.
- Build agentic AI solutions on Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Q and SageMaker, with Claude as the primary model family.
- Create reusable accelerators, reference architectures,



demos and IP that shorten time to value.
- Work with Autonomous Ops, the AI Command Center and Enterprise Apps pillars to bring AWS and Claude into joint offerings.

Pre-sales and growth

- Lead solutioning for large AWS deals: architecture, estimation, commercials and orals.
- Partner with BU pre-sales (including UK & EU) and sales leaders on pursuits, proactive proposals and account mining.
- Represent Sonata in client CXO conversations, AWS events and analyst briefings.

Partnership and alliances

- Own the AWS relationship end to end: partner tier progression, competencies and specializations (Migration, Data & Analytics, Generative AI and others), and programs such as MAP and Well-Architected.
- Run co-sell with AWS account teams through ACE pipeline, joint account planning and AWS Marketplace listings.
- Build the Anthropic relationship, including Claude on Amazon Bedrock, and position Sonata as a go-to partner for enterprise Claude adoption.
- Secure partner funding (migration, POC and marketing funds) and turn it into qualified pipeline.

Delivery and quality

- Act as technical authority on AWS engagements; run architecture reviews and Well-Architected assessments.
- Partner with FDEs and delivery teams to land early engagements and turn them into references and case studies.

People and competency

- Lead and grow the competency leads and their teams; hire senior architects in India.
- Own the certification plan, skills matrix and learning paths for AWS and Claude.
- Build a bench that can be deployed onsite or offshore for US, UK and Europe clients.

Must-have qualifications

- 16–22 years in IT services or consulting, with 6+ years building or leading an AWS practice, CoE or alliance at a partner.
- Strong application modernization track record on AWS (the primary focus of this role): re-architecting monoliths and legacy apps (.NET, Java, mainframe) into microservices,



containers (EKS, ECS) and serverless (Lambda, Step Functions), API-first and event-driven designs, and AI-assisted code modernization.
- Proven track record of growing AWS revenue and pipeline through co-sell, partner funding and programs such as MAP.
- Hands-on depth in wider AWS architecture: data platforms (Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, EMR), security and governance, and cloud migration (rehost and replatform) as a secondary skill.
- Practical experience delivering generative or agentic AI on AWS, ideally Bedrock with Claude models.
- Has led large deal solutioning, including architecture, estimation and pricing, for US or European enterprise clients.
- Has built and led teams of 30+ architects and engineers, including senior leaders.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or willingness to certify within 6 months).
- Robust executive presence; comfortable in front of client CXOs and AWS leadership.

Nice to have

- Experience with Anthropic's enterprise offerings (Claude API, Claude Code, Claude for Enterprise) and agent frameworks such as MCP.
- AWS Specialty certifications (Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Security) or AWS Ambassador / Hero recognition.
- Domain depth in BFSI, retail, manufacturing or travel and logistics.
- Prior exposure to multi-cloud practices (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and to working alongside a Microsoft practice.
- Experience building GCC or BOT-model delivery from India.
- Thought leadership: talks at AWS Summits or re:Invent, published papers or blogs.
