We are seeking an experienced H-1B Immigration Manager to oversee the end-to-end H-1B immigration process, supervise petition preparation and review, and ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely submission of immigration filings. The role requires robust leadership, independent decision-making, and expertise in complex case management, including RFEs, NOIDs, MTRs, and LCA compliance, with minimal day-to-day attorney supervision. Knowledge and experience with other U.S. non-immigrant visa categories will be an added advantage.
Role & responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Oversee immigration specialists and case coordinators, assign cases, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to established procedures and filing timelines.
- Petition Oversight & Finalization: Supervise and conduct final reviews of H-1B petitions, including new filings, transfers, extensions, amendments, and cap-subject cases, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and filing readiness.
- RFE, NOID & MTR Management: Lead the assessment, response strategy, review, and finalization of complex responses and motion packages, ensuring evidentiary gaps are addressed and deadlines are met.
- Independent Case Management: Exercise sound judgment on case readiness, documentation sufficiency, risk identification, and operational decisions, escalating complex legal issues to immigration counsel when necessary.
- LCA & Compliance Oversight: Supervise LCA processing, Public Access File maintenance, worksite documentation, wage-related records, and other applicable H-1B compliance requirements.
- Other Nonimmigrant Visa Categories: Knowledge of and experience with other U.S. nonimmigrant visa classifications, such as L-1, TN, P1/P3, E-1/E-2, E-3, O-1, and B-1/B-2, including their application processes and documentation requirements,
will be an added advantage.
- Quality Assurance: Establish review standards, checklists, and internal controls to minimize filing errors, inconsistencies, rejections, and avoidable RFEs.
- Attorney & Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for immigration attorneys, Internal Teams, employers, HR teams, end clients, vendors, and beneficiaries, minimizing routine attorney involvement through effective case oversight.
- Case Tracking & Reporting: Monitor case progress, USCIS notices, petition expiration dates, critical deadlines, and team productivity; provide regular management reports and escalate high-risk matters.
- Process Improvement: Develop standard operating procedures, streamline workflows, train team members, and implement measures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Preferred candidate profile
- Extensive experience in U.S. employment-based immigration, particularly H-1B petitions and related filings.
- Demonstrated experience managing RFEs, NOIDs, MTRs, LCAs, amendments, extensions, and transfers.
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in immigration case management.
- Strong knowledge of USCIS procedures, Department of Labor requirements, and H-1B compliance practices.
- Familiarity with other U.S. nonimmigrant visa categories and their eligibility, documentation, and filing requirements is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases and oversee a team with minimal day-to-day supervision from attorneys.
Note: The role includes independent operational decision-making and filing oversight. Legal determinations, legal advice, and attorney-of-record responsibilities remain with appropriately authorized immigration counsel.
