Gold Appraiser

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Gold Appraiser to join our energetic gold-loan team. In this role, you will evaluate customers’ gold ornaments, determine accurate purity and weight, and support branch staff in offering competitive loan products. If you have a passion for sales, a knack for building rapport, and hands-on experience in gold appraisal or related field sales, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct precise testing, weighing, and grading of gold ornaments to establish purity and value.
2. Prepare valuation reports and communicate loan eligibility and terms to customers clearly and confidently.
3. Drive branch-level gold loan growth by converting walk-in customers and generating leads through field visits and local marketing activities.
4. Maintain meticulous records of appraisals, customer documents, and transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with branch and regional sales teams to meet monthly disbursement targets and cross-sell related financial products.
6. Ensure safety, security, and integrity of gold stock held in custody at the branch.
7. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries and resolving concerns promptly.

Requirements:

1. 1–5 years of experience in gold appraisal, pawn broking, jewelry sales, or gold-loan operations.
2. Solid understanding of gold purity testing techniques (touchstone, karat meter, acid test, etc.) and market pricing standards.
3. Proven sales and target-driven mindset with the ability to convert leads into successful loans.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and long-term customer relationships.
5. Willingness to perform local field sales/marketing activities and occasional travel to satellite branches.
6. Basic computer literacy for data entry, MS Office, and loan management systems.
