Quality Controller – Food Manufacturing

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Controller to manage product quality and batch-level quality control across our food manufacturing operations.

The candidate will be responsible for product testing, production monitoring, batch checking, quality parameters and maintaining quality records.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct mandatory quality checks for every production batch.
- Check raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.
- Monitor and record product-specific parameters for Edible Oils, Cane Sugar/Nattu Sakkarai, Rock Salt and Health Mixes.
- Perform applicable tests such as Moisture, FFA/Acid Value, Peroxide Value, appearance, colour, odour, texture and other approved specifications.
- Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to approved SOPs and parameters.
- Check finished product quality, weight, packing, labelling and batch coding.
- Maintain complete QC, batch, testing and traceability records.
- Identify quality deviations and immediately report/hold non-conforming batches.
- Ensure GMP,



hygiene and food safety practices are followed on the production floor.
- Support corrective actions, customer complaint investigations and external laboratory testing when required.

Requirements
- B.Sc / B.Tech / M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG Quality Control preferred.
- Practical knowledge of food testing, GMP, FSSAI and quality documentation.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel and QC record keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to work on the production floor.
- Ability to identify quality issues and take timely action.

Important

This is a hands-on production quality role, not a documentation-only position. The candidate must take ownership of product quality and ensure that quality is never compromised for production or dispatch targets.

Pay: ₹8,300.00 - ₹37,000.00 per month
