A. Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Fixed Income & Bond Market Specialist with a deep understanding of Indian bond markets, strong fixed income analytical and computational capabilities, and established market relationships. The role involves credit evaluation of bond issuers, bond valuation, market research, portfolio support, and sourcing bonds to facilitate trade execution for distribution clients.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound credit judgment, the ability to leverage market connections to identify investment opportunities and facilitate bond transactions. The candidate is expected to have good written and oral communication skills

B. Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Approved Bond Universe Monitoring: Track and monitor the universe of approved bond issues and issuers, ensuring regular updates and ongoing assessment.
2. Credit Evaluation: Conduct credit analysis of bond issuers within the approved universe to assess creditworthiness and monitor changes in credit quality.
3. Issuer Onboarding & Evaluation: Evaluate current bond issuers for inclusion in the approved universe through detailed credit assessment and financial analysis.
4. Bond Valuation: Perform fair valuation of bonds held in client portfolios using appropriate valuation methodologies, market data, and analytical models.
5. Market Insights: Provide timely insights on Indian bond markets, interest rate movements, credit spreads, liquidity, and emerging investment opportunities.
6. Model Management: Regularly update and maintain in-house financial, credit,



and bond valuation models to ensure accuracy and relevance.
7. Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide relevant market insights, and support bond-related investment and distribution activities.
8. Bond Sourcing & Trade Facilitation: Identify and source suitable bonds from the market by leveraging established relationships with market participants, facilitating trade execution for distribution clients.
9. Market Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with bond issuers, brokers, dealers, and other market participants to support bond sourcing and sales.

C. Desired Skills & Competencies

1. Indian Bond Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the Indian debt market, including corporate bonds, government securities, credit instruments, market conventions, and regulatory frameworks.
2. Fixed Income Analytics: Strong computational and quantitative skills in fixed income, including bond pricing, yield calculations, duration, convexity, spread analysis, and valuation methodologies.
3. Credit Analysis: Ability to assess issuer creditworthiness through financial statement analysis, credit metrics, cash flow assessment, and evaluation of business and industry risks.
4. Market Network: Established relationships and strong market connections for sourcing and selling bonds, particularly in the Indian debt market.
5. Financial Modelling: Proficiency in maintaining and updating in-house credit, valuation, and analytical models.
6. Market Awareness: Ability to interpret market developments and translate them into actionable insights.
