Studio Lead – Fashion Merchandising & Production

About the Role Pan Asia Export House is setting up a state-of-the-art high-end boutique garment manufacturing unit in mumbai, specifically catering to export buyers and premium domestic markets. Our product lines focus on luxury womenswear, western wear, salwar suits,bridal & occasion wear, designer kurtas, suits. This will be an agile fashion sampling, material sourcing, and batch production studio to connect international clients with India's manufacturing and artisanal ecosystems.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, operationally grounded Studio Lead who combines garment technology, design sensibility, and floor management. You will serve as the engine of our Mumbai studio, translating reference samples and tech packs into finished products while managing our in-house tailoring floor and regional vendor network.

Key Responsibilities

- Product Development & Sampling: Translate client briefs, sketches, and physical garments received from our Dubai team into accurate tech packs, bills of materials (BOM), and production-ready samples.
- Floor & Production Management: Direct an in-house team of Master Cutters and Tailors for high-precision sampling, bespoke tailoring,



and agile low-MOQ runs (1–50 pieces).
- Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination: Manage job-work relationships across machine embroidery units (Surat/Ahmedabad), Mumbai handwork artisans (Aari / Zardozi), and local piece-dyeing partners.
- Sourcing & Costing: Oversee procurement of RFD fabrics (viscose chiffon, chinon, organza, Bemberg cupro, raw silks) and calculate precise per-piece consumption costing.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce strict zero-defect QC standards on fit, drape, stitch density, symmetry, and export finishing before dispatch.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–6 years in fashion merchandising, export house sampling, or couture production management.
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or Apparel Production (NIFT, Pearl, or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Robust understanding of fabric behaviors (natural/regenerated cellulose vs. synthetics), pattern drafting, embroidery digitizing/punching, and garment finishing.
- Leadership: Proactive communicator with the operational authority to lead tailoring masters and negotiate firmly with vendors.
