Job Summary

We are looking for motivated Environmental Engineers to join our GPCB Schedule-I Workplace Audit Laboratory. The role involves industrial environmental audits, pollution control system evaluation, technical report preparation, and NABL-related documentation and quality management activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Environmental Audit & Compliance
- Assist in conducting environmental audits of industrial units as per applicable GPCB guidelines.
- Evaluate ETP, STP, RO, MEE, ATFD, ZLD, and air pollution control systems, as applicable.
- Review environmental monitoring reports for air, wastewater, and stack emissions.
- Verify compliance with applicable GPCB consent conditions and environmental regulations.
- Prepare environmental audit reports, technical observations, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in industrial site inspections, sampling coordination, and audit activities.
- NABL Documentation & Quality Management
- Prepare and maintain NABL-related documentation as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS).
- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, quality manuals, registers, and controlled documents.
- Assist with internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions (CAPA),



and non-conformity records.
- Maintain equipment calibration, maintenance, personnel training, and competency records.
- Assist with proficiency testing, inter-laboratory comparisons, and measurement uncertainty documentation, as applicable.
- Support NABL assessments and the closure of non-conformities.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering or a relevant environmental discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech in Environmental Engineering will be an added advantage.

Mandatory Eligibility

- Must have cleared the GPCB Environment Auditor Examination.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of environmental legislation and GPCB guidelines.
- Understanding of industrial pollution control systems.
- Knowledge of NABL documentation and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is preferred.
- Good documentation, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Willingness to travel to industrial sites across Gujarat.

Experience

- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with experience in environmental auditing, laboratory operations, environmental consultancy, or NABL documentation will have an added advantage.
