Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced EM OP/IP Medical Coding Specialist responsible for reviewing and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and Evaluation & Management (E&M;) codes for Outpatient (OP) and Inpatient (IP) encounters. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of coding guidelines, payer regulations,



and documentation requirements to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.

- Review medical records and assign accurate E&M;, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Perform coding for Outpatient and Inpatient services in accordance with coding guidelines.
- Analyze physician documentation and query providers when clarification is required.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, AHIMA, and AAPC coding standards.
- Maintain productivity and quality targets as defined by the organization.
- Identify documentation deficiencies and provide feedback to improve coding accuracy.
- Stay updated on coding guideline changes and payer-specific requirements.
- Participate in internal and external coding audits and implement corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate in Life Sciences or any relevant discipline.
- Certified coder preferred (AAPC CPC/COC or AHIMA CCS/CCS-P).
- Strong understanding of E&M; coding guidelines.
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Experience coding physician services in Outpatient and/or Inpatient settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms and encoder tools.
- Robust analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Experience
- 1+ years of experience in E&M; coding.
- Ability to handle high-volume coding while maintaining quality standards.
