Director of Engineering

Job Purpose:

To strategically lead the engineering function, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while driving innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on enhancing infrastructure, optimizing energy management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Develop and execute the engineering strategy to align with long-term organizational goals, focusing on operational excellence and technological innovation.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency programs, waste management systems, and the integration of renewable energy solutions.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure high performance across maintenance, energy utilization, and resource management.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, and senior leadership to support organizational priorities.
- Oversee the planning, approval, and execution of major capital projects, including facility upgrades and expansions.
- Improve processes to optimize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance safety.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations, including HACCP and ESG guidelines.
- Develop a long-term roadmap for energy conservation and carbon footprint reduction.
- Foster partnerships with technology providers to implement cutting-edge solutions in engineering and maintenance.
- Cultivate a high-performing team by implementing targeted training, mentoring,



and leadership development programs.
- Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, vendors, and utility providers to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
- Lead crisis management efforts for engineering-related emergencies and maintain robust contingency plans.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical)
- 18+ years of professional experience post-qualification
- Prior experience in similar roles within the hospitality industry
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work on-call and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.

Travel Should be adaptable to move within the company according to requirement and also for personal growth.
