Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Generator (DG) and AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) Panel Technician to join our engineering and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, wiring, testing, routine maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of diesel generator sets and control panels. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in electrical schematics, relay logic, and modern AMF/ATS controller

Key Responsibilities

- Installation & Commissioning: Install, connect, and commission new diesel generator sets and AMF/ATS control panels at client sites.
- Panel Wiring & Assembly: Read electrical blueprints and schematics to wire control panels, circuit breakers, battery chargers, and engine interface modules.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults in DG sets and control panels (e.g., starter issues, fuel solenoid failures, sensor errors, and controller faults).
- AMF Controller Configuration: Program, configure,



and troubleshoot standard generator controllers (such as Deep Sea Electronics, SmartGen, ComAp, etc.).
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled servicing, load bank testing, insulation checks, and health assessments for existing DG installations.

Customer Support

Coordinate with clients, provide technical explanations, and ensure safe compliance with all electrical and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of diesel generator systems, control panels, and AMF panel operation.

Candidates should possess skills in electrical wiring, cable termination, and troubleshooting of control circuits and protection relays.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe use of electrical tools and test equipment.

Candidates should possess basic skills in using multimeters and other diagnostic instruments to identify faults and verify proper operation.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with supervisors, colleagues, and customers in office.
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field is preferred; relevant hands-on experience with generators and panels is highly valued.

Ability to work on-site in varied conditions, respond to urgent service calls, and manage time and tasks with minimal supervision.
