Purpose/Objective

To support the Techno-Commercial function in evaluation, procurement, cost optimization, contract management, and commercial analysis for O&M; Capex projects across cement plants.

The role will be responsible for techno-commercial assessments, vendor management, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and supporting M&A-related; technical procurement activities to ensure cost-effective and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Techno-Commercial Evaluation - Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of quotations and vendor proposals.

- Analyze technical specifications, scope requirements, and commercial terms for Capex projects.
- Prepare comparative statements (CS), TCO analysis, and recommendation reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, project, maintenance, and procurement teams for requirement validation.

Capex Procurement Support - Support sourcing and procurement of plant equipment, spares, machinery, and project services.

- Ensure timely execution of procurement activities for O&M; and expansion projects.
- Assist in preparation of RFQs, bid documents, and techno-commercial negotiations.
- Track procurement schedules and ensure alignment with project timelines.

Vendor & Contract Management - Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers.

- Conduct vendor performance reviews and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in commercial negotiations for obtaining competitive pricing and favorable contractual terms.
- Support contract finalization and adherence to procurement governance policies.

Cost Optimization & Value Engineering - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency.

- Conduct benchmarking of equipment, services, and procurement costs.




- Drive value engineering initiatives without compromising quality and reliability.
- Support implementation of procurement best practices across locations.

M&A; and Strategic Projects Support - Assist in technical and commercial due diligence activities for M&A; projects.

- Review plant assets, contracts, procurement practices, and technical infrastructure.
- Support integration planning related to procurement and supply chain processes.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership review.

Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with plant teams, project teams, category managers, finance, and technical functions.

- Ensure timely resolution of procurement and commercial issues.
- Present procurement strategies and recommendations to management.

Compliance & Governance - Ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegation of authority, and audit requirements.

- Maintain proper documentation for bids, evaluations, approvals, and contracts.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - B.

E.

/B.

Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Production, or related Engineering discipline.

- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, or Finance preferred.

Experience - 8-12 years of experience in Techno-Commercial, Procurement, Capex Projects, Strategic Sourcing, or Project Procurement.

- Experience in Cement, Power, Steel, Mining, EPC, Industrial Manufacturing, or Process Industries preferred.
- Exposure to large-scale Capex procurement and contract management is highly desirable.
- Experience in techno-commercial analysis of plant equipment and engineering projects preferred.
