Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in IBM DB2, Linux, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and database maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM DB2 databases.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration activities.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Manage database security, user access, permissions, and authentication.
- Handle database upgrades, patching, maintenance, and migration activities.
- Work with Linux environments for database administration, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
- Support database deployment and management in cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Perform database health checks, capacity planning, and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure,



and DevOps teams to ensure database availability and reliability.

Mandatory Skills
- IBM DB2: Strong hands-on experience in DB2 database administration.
- Linux: Good knowledge of Linux commands, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting.
- Cloud: Experience with any cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Database Administration: Experience in backup and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and database maintenance.

Positive-to-Have Skills
- Experience with additional database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in database migration and upgrades.
- Knowledge of high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and database replication.
- Experience with automation and scripting for database administration.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in database administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle production database issues and work with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to attend a face-to-face interview in Bangalore.

Pay: ₹10,000,000.00 - ₹20,000,000.00 per year
