Data Science Associate Consultant

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and deploy machine-learning models using Python, including algorithms such as XGBoost, regression, and classical ML techniques.
2. Prototype and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for generative AI use cases.
3. Perform data wrangling, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis to uncover actionable insights.
4. Evaluate model performance using appropriate statistical and business metrics, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Collaborate with product managers, domain experts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
6. Document methodologies, experimental results, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
7. Support deployment and monitoring of ML solutions in production, iterating models based on feedback and new data.
8. Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI/ML, recommending new tools and techniques to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science,



Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine-learning solutions.
3. Proficiency in Python and its data/ML ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.).
4. Practical experience with generative AI frameworks, large language models (e.g., BERT), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
5. Strong knowledge of supervised learning methods, including regression and tree-based algorithms (e.g., XGBoost).
6. Experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation using industry-standard metrics.
7. Ability to translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable model training and deployment.
2. Familiarity with MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines.
3. Knowledge of advanced NLP techniques beyond BERT, such as GPT or Transformer-based architectures.
4. Hands-on experience with deep learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX).
5. Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard creation.
6. Domain expertise in industries such as finance, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing.
7. Experience working in a consulting environment with multiple concurrent client projects.
