We are looking for experienced Data Discovery & Mapping Consultants to support a Data Protection and Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) compliance project. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with data discovery tools, data classification, database connectivity, personal data inventory, and end-to-end data flow mapping.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, troubleshoot, and fine-tune data discovery tools.
- Develop APIs and establish connectivity with structured and unstructured databases.
- Perform asset inventory using relevant tools, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and validation of inventory outputs.
- Develop customised packages and reports based on project requirements.
- Create and maintain enterprise-wide Personal Data Inventories and Data Dictionaries.
- Perform risk-based data categorisation, classification, and tagging.
- Map end-to-end data flows covering data collection, processing, storage, sharing, archival, and erasure.
- Recommend data minimisation, deletion, archival, encryption, masking, and anonymisation practices.




- Support implementation of data protection controls in line with applicable privacy requirements and the DPDP Act.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Information Security.
- Must possess at least one relevant certification: CISSP, CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM, CIPT, or ISO 27701 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data protection, data privacy, information security, or regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrable experience working on DPDP Act compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with data discovery, database connectivity, data classification, asset inventory, and data mapping.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Work Conditions
- Five days a week, working from the client office in Mumbai.
- Regular business hours; Saturday working may be required based on business needs.
- Working hours may occasionally extend depending on project timelines.
- The exact office location will be shared upon selection.
- Background verification, including a Police Clearance Report, will be required.
- Candidates must be available to join immediately or at short notice.
