Senior Data Center & SDN Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Center & SDN Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and migrate high-performance Data Center fabrics. In this role, you will be responsible for building contemporary Spine-Leaf topologies, managing overlay/underlay protocols (EVPN/VXLAN), integrating gateway solutions, and executing seamless network migrations using Software-Defined Networking (SDN) architectures.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabric Design & Deployment: Architect, deploy, and maintain Data Center Spine-Leaf fabrics, ensuring low latency, high availability, and scalability.
- Underlay & Overlay Management: Design and implement robust IGP underlays (OSPF/eBGP) and modern EVPN/VXLAN overlay architectures using MP-BGP.
- Routing & Switching Operations: Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot core routing protocols including BGP (eBGP/iBGP), OSPF, L2/L3 VPNs, and advanced traffic engineering.
- SDN Integration: Operationalize and maintain Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions, automating network provisioning and orchestrating fabric workloads.
- Migration & Integration: Lead Data Center network migrations, integrating legacy infrastructure into modern Spine-Leaf topologies and external network gateways with zero to minimal business downtime.
- System Administration & Automation:



Utilize Linux commands and environment tooling for network testing, troubleshooting, telemetry, and system maintenance.
- Gateway & Edge Routing: Configure DC edge/gateway routers to route traffic between DC fabrics, WAN, public/private clouds, and enterprise boundaries.

Required Technical Skills

- Data Center Fabric Architecture: Deep hands-on experience with Spine-Leaf topologies and Data Center Fabric designs.
- Overlay/Underlay Technologies: VXLAN, EVPN, MP-BGP, IGP Underlays (OSPF, eBGP).
- Routing Protocols: BGP (iBGP, eBGP), OSPF, L2 VPN, L3 VPN.
- SDN & Automation: Hands-on experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) controllers and fabric management platforms.
- Migration & Integration: Proven track record in DC network migration, cutovers, and gateway integration.
- Operating Systems & Tools: Working proficiency with Linux CLI, network diagnostic tools, and system administrative commands.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data Center Networking, Architecture, and Operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certifications (Preferred): CCIE (Data Center / Enterprise), JNCIE-DC, CCNP Data Center, or vendor-equivalent SDN certifications (Arista, Cisco ACI, Juniper Apstra).
