About the role

RupeeQ is looking for a hands-on data leader who can turn customer data into a reliable, well-governed and actionable business asset. You will work closely with the Founder to understand RupeeQ’s vision and build the data systems, processes and decisioning capabilities needed to support it.

This role combines data engineering, data quality, platform integrations, customer activation, credit analytics and operational reporting. We need someone who can think through the design and also stay close to execution.

Key responsibilitiesOwn data quality and the customer data lifecycle

● Build and maintain processes to ingest, clean, validate, deduplicate and standardise data from multiple sources.

● Maintain clear data stages, including raw, scrubbed, master, opted-in, workable, application and disbursement records.

● Establish reliable customer matching and master-data practices so teams can work from consistent records.

● Track data freshness, completeness, errors and changes, and resolve quality issues at their source.

Connect RupeeQ’s data ecosystem

● Integrate and maintain data flows across Meta, Google, the website, LMS/CRM, internal systems and lender/API sources.

● Keep customer and campaign information updated across systems, with clear source and attribution tracking.

● Work with internal technology teams and external vendors on server setup, data pipelines, APIs, access controls and issue resolution.

● Document data flows, field definitions, integrations and operating procedures.

Build customer activation and decisioning capabilities

● Develop propensity scorecards to help identify which customers are more likely to be workable or eligible for specific products and lender journeys.

● Align customer attributes and lender policies with bank/NBFC rule engines,

and maintain clear versions of rules and scorecards.

● Analyse application, approval and disbursement outcomes to improve targeting and decisioning over time.

● Ensure that scores guide prioritisation and that final credit decisions follow the lender’s approved policies.

Establish consent and data-governance controls

● Maintain clear, auditable records of consent, purpose, source, timestamp, permitted use and withdrawal or suppression status.

● Help ensure that customer data is used and shared only through approved, purpose-specific processes.

● Work closely with Legal/Compliance and Technology teams on data access, retention, deletion, audit trails and security controls.

● Build practical processes that teams can follow consistently.

Create clear business reporting

● Build dashboards that show active, fresh, opted-in and workable data, along with applications, lender-wise outcomes and disbursements.

● Track volumes and conversion by source, campaign, product and lender.

● Reconcile data across platforms so leadership can rely on the numbers for decisions.

What you will be expected to do

● Take end-to-end ownership—from understanding the business need to designing, implementing and monitoring the solution.

● Translate the Founder’s vision into explicit data priorities, systems and measurable outcomes.

● Work closely with Technology, Growth, Lending Partnerships, Operations and Legal/Compliance.

● Identify gaps early,

explain the business impact and drive issues through to resolution.

● Build processes that are scalable, secure, documented and usable by the teams who depend on them.

Knowledge and skills

● Strong hands-on SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.

● Practical experience with Python or similar tools for data cleaning, validation and automation.

● Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, databases and data warehouses.

● Experience integrating CRM/LMS, website, marketing platforms and business systems.

● Ability to build dashboards using Power BI, Looker, Tableau or similar tools.

● Understanding of data quality, master-data management, customer attribution and lifecycle tracking.

● Experience with propensity modelling, credit analytics, scorecards or lender-rule implementation.

● Working knowledge of customer consent, privacy, data access and retention practices.

● Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Experience we value

● Around 5+ years of relevant experience in data operations, data engineering, analytics, CRM/data activation or decisioning.

● Experience in fintech, digital lending, loan marketplaces, banking or NBFCs will be a strong advantage.

● A track record of personally delivering integrations, data-quality improvements, dashboards or decisioning systems—not only managing them.

You may be a strong fit if

You enjoy building from the ground up, can move between business discussions and technical details, and are comfortable working directly with a Founder. You care about clean data, disciplined execution and measurable lending outcomes—and you take ownership until the system works in practice.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
