Role : Core Optical Specialist

Location- Gurgaon/Hyderabad

Experience- 7 to 15 Yrs

Role Summary :

Provide L1/L2 operational support for Optical Transport networks, ensuring network availability, incident resolution, and SLA adherence.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and manage DWDM, Optical Transport, and Fiber network alarms.
- Perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, and restoration activities.
- Execute maintenance activities and change implementations.
- Coordinate with field teams and vendors during outages.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and customer escalations.
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation and operational records.
- Support 24x7 NOC operations and bridge calls during major incidents.

Skills

- Optical networking fundamentals (DWDM, ROADM, OTN).
- NMS/EMS monitoring tools.
- Incident and change management processes.
- Solid troubleshooting and communication skills.

KPIs

- SLA, MTTA, MTTD, MTTR, Escalation rate, FTR, Repeat, Alarm-to-Ticket Conversion
