: Conversational Chatbot Developer – WhatsApp

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Conversational Chatbot Developer with hands-on experience in JavaScript, JSON, and conversational bot development, particularly for WhatsApp. The ideal candidate should understand chatbot logic, conversation flow design, API integrations, and message processing to develop and maintain effective, user-friendly conversational experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain conversational chatbots, particularly for WhatsApp.
- Build and manage chatbot conversation flows, including user queries, automated responses, conditional logic, and fallback handling.
- Use JavaScript to implement chatbot logic, process messages, and handle backend integrations.
- Work with JSON for structuring, parsing, and exchanging chatbot messages and API data.
- Integrate chatbots with WhatsApp Business API and other relevant APIs or third-party platforms.
- Implement message handling, user input validation, response processing, and error handling.
- Debug chatbot issues, troubleshoot integration failures, and improve bot performance.
- Test conversation flows to ensure accurate responses and a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with the team to understand business requirements and translate them into functional chatbot solutions.




- Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing chatbot enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience
- Robust hands-on proficiency in JavaScript and JSON.
- Practical experience developing and implementing conversational chatbots, preferably WhatsApp bots.
- Understanding of WhatsApp Business API, WhatsApp messaging integrations, or related chatbot platforms.
- Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Good understanding of conversational flows, intent-based logic, message routing, and fallback mechanisms.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and independently resolve chatbot integration problems.
- Experience testing and maintaining deployed chatbot solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js or other JavaScript-based backend technologies.
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business Platform features, templates, and messaging workflows.
- Experience with chatbot frameworks, automation platforms, or conversational AI tools.
- Understanding of authentication, API responses, and asynchronous message processing.

Candidate Profile Candidates should have demonstrable, hands-on experience building or integrating conversational chatbots. Applicants with only general web development or software development experience, without relevant chatbot implementation experience, may not be suitable for this role.
