We have survived the last 7 years (started in 2016) without this company description, but recently we were asked to make one as it is required as per the norm (similar to the least visited “Privacy Policy” and “Terms & Conditions” thing) to hire peeps to work with us. So here is what you should know “about us”:

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Cinematographer + Editor at ComicSense, located in the Hidden Hills of Dehradun. This is the full pipeline in one person — you shoot it and you cut it.

You will own our product shoots end to end: lighting and framing tapestries, jerseys, tees, hoodies, deskmats and figurines, handling props and set setup, directing models, grabbing B-roll and texture shots. Then you take all of it into the edit and turn it into reels, ads, launch films and whatever the drop calendar demands that week.

You will also be responsible for keeping an eye on what’s working — trending formats, hooks, pacing, what other brands in the anime and streetwear space are doing — and bringing ideas instead of waiting for briefs. We shoot a lot.

This is a one-person creative pipeline role, not a two-person job split. If you only want to shoot, or only want to edit, this isn’t it.

Qualifications:

- 1–2 years of hands-on experience shooting and editing — e-commerce, apparel, product or brand content preferred.
- Solid command of a DSLR/mirrorless setup. Aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance, lens choice — second nature,



not googled mid-shoot.
- Solid lighting ability: softbox, key/fill, bounce, reflectors, and knowing how to not blow out a black hoodie or flatten a textured fabric.
- Composition and prop styling sense. You should look at a flat lay and know what’s wrong with it before we say anything.
- Able to shoot stills and video in the same session without either suffering
- Strong editing in Premiere Pro, CapCut or DaVinci. Short-form first — hooks, pacing, retention, not 10-minute YouTube essays.
- After Effects for titles, basic motion and cleanup is a plus
- Colour grading and retouching. Product colour accuracy matters — customers get annoyed when the hoodie arrives a different shade than the photo.
- Sound design instincts. Knowing which audio is trending and which is already dead.
- Organised. Files named properly, shots logged, backups taken, nothing lost at 6pm on shoot day.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Some days solo with a tripod, some days directing a small crew.
- A portfolio > a resume. We want to see both shot and edited work, ideally from the same project.
- Weebs who have wasted a sh*t ton of their lives watching anime are preferred.

PS: This is a full-time, 9-5 job, sadly. The salary range for this position is ₹3–4.5lac/annum, negotiable for ideal candidates that fits company culture. On-site in Dehradun.
