About the Role The RoleWe are looking for a CTO to own technology and the Physical AI vision at Awign. You will sit alongside thefounders, set the technical strategy, and build the team and platforms that turn ambitious ideas intoproduction systems. This is a hands-on leadership role: stay close to architecture, code and execution whilebuilding a team that scales without you in every review.

Responsibilities

- What You Will Own
- Technology vision and strategy: define the roadmap across Physical AI, AI products and enterprise software, withthe founders.
- Physical AI platform:



build the infrastructure for data generation, model training and deployment for robotics andembodied AI.
- Engineering lifecycle: own everything from ideation and architecture to deployment, scaling and reliability.
- Team building: hire, mentor and lead a high-performing engineering and AI/ML team; build an AI-first culture.
- Execution velocity: set up processes, tooling and AI-assisted workflows that raise productivity without bureaucracy.
- Engineering excellence: drive code quality, security, scalability and operational reliability.
- Stakeholder partnership: work with Founders, Product, Business, Tech Support and Enterprise Clients.
- Technical credibility: represent Awign's technology to customers, partners, investors and the ecosystem.

Core Mandate: Physical AI Data GenerationA central part of this role is building the data engine that trains next-generation Physical AI models.
- Design scalable pipelines for real-world and synthetic data generation and collection.
- Build high-quality annotation and labeling workflows with strong QA.
- Develop simulation-based data generation and domain randomization pipelines.
- Manage multimodal datasets: video, images, depth, LiDAR, IMU, GPS and sensor telemetry.
- Improve dataset quality, coverage and diversity; work with AI/ML engineers to lift model performance through better data.

Qualifications & Required Skills

Technical Foundation

- Strong Python backend engineering
- Distributed, cloud-native systems; APIs, microservices,event-driven design
- React frontend; Flutter and native Android/iOS a plus
- DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, production operations

Who You Are

- A builder-leader with 8–12 years of engineering experience and increasing technical ownership.
- Strong in system design and architecture, able to go deep when it matters.
- Experienced in building and scaling engineering teams, ideally in a startup or quick-growth setting.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, with a bias for action and ruthless prioritization.
- At ease discussing strategy with founders, architecture with engineers and outcomes with enterprise clients.
- Passionate about AI, robotics and products with real-world impact.
