Chief Manager / DGM Stores -15+ years-Hoshiarpur

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Stores and Warehouse professional to lead high-volume material receiving, storage, inventory management, and assembly line feeding operations at a large tractor manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automotive or tractor OEM operations, SAP WM/EWM, lean material handling, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production.

Location: Hoshiarpur, Punjab

Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end inbound receiving, vehicle unloading, goods verification, dock management, and material put-away operations.
- Coordinate with quality teams for incoming material inspection, quality clearance, rejected material handling, and return-to-vendor processes.
- Manage BOM-based assembly line feeding, material issuance, kitting, and sub-store operations using Kanban, JIT/JIS, and other lean practices.
- Optimize warehouse space through high-density storage, vertical racking, efficient binning, and improved material movement.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, SAP WM/EWM transactions, material handling equipment safety, and uninterrupted production through effective team management.

Requirements:

- 15+ years of experience in stores, warehouse, material handling, or supply chain operations within automotive, tractor, or heavy commercial vehicle OEMs.
- Strong expertise in inbound receiving, dock management, goods inward, IQC coordination, and/or BOM-based assembly line feeding.
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP WM/EWM, inventory control, Kanban, JIT/JIS, kitting, and lean warehouse management.
- Proven experience managing large shop-floor teams, multi-shift operations, high-volume material movement,



and warehouse space constraints.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Logistics is preferred. Candidates from Punjab or with Northern India manufacturing experience are strongly preferred.
