Reporting to: Board of Directors

We are looking for an accomplished infrastructure industry leader to drive the next phase of growth across Pentacle and its subsidiaries.

This is a leadership mandate for someone who combines strong relationships across government infrastructure organisations, a proven ability to win business, and the commercial discipline to convert opportunities into profitable execution and cash flow.

The Role The Group CEO will lead business strategy, business development and operating performance across the companies, working closely with the promoters, Board and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drive business growth: Develop and execute a group-wide growth strategy across infrastructure consultancy, engineering, project management and related services.

Strengthen government and institutional relationships: Build and deepen professional relationships with central and state government departments, infrastructure authorities, public sector undertakings, urban development bodies and other project stakeholders.

Convert relationships into business: Identify upcoming projects early, build a qualified opportunity pipeline, strengthen prequalification credentials and lead bidding, negotiations and contract awards.

Expand market presence: Open recent client accounts, enter relevant sectors and geographies across India and overseas, and develop strategic partnerships, consortiums and joint ventures.

Integrate group capabilities: Create cross-selling opportunities and coordinate resources, technical credentials and client relationships across Pentacle and its subsidiaries.

Deliver profitable execution: Oversee project performance, client satisfaction, resource deployment and contractual commitments while protecting margins.

Maintain commercial discipline:



Work closely with the finance leadership on pricing, budgets, working capital, collections and business performance.

Build leadership capability: Develop accountable management teams, establish clear performance targets and strengthen succession planning.

Uphold governance: Ensure transparent business practices, sound tendering discipline and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

Preferably 20+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of ten years at a senior management level, including substantial leadership responsibility in infrastructure consultancy, engineering, project management or a closely related business.

An established professional network across government infrastructure departments, authorities and public sector organisations.

A demonstrable track record of personally originating, pursuing and securing significant infrastructure assignments.

Strong understanding of government procurement, consultancy tenders, qualification requirements, consortium structures and contract negotiations.

Experience managing multiple businesses, sizeable teams or business units with P&L; accountability.

Ability to balance business development with project delivery, profitability and collections.

Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with promoters and the Board.

Engineering background preferred; management qualifications would be an added advantage.

Quality order-book growth, new client acquisition, tender conversion, profitability, collections, project delivery and stronger collaboration across group companies.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, with a performance-linked component aligned to agreed business outcomes.
