Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced Carpenter to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out carpentry repairs, furniture maintenance, and woodwork installations to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities remain in excellent condition.

The ideal candidate should have practical carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete maintenance tasks efficiently while following hotel safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance in guest rooms, restaurants, offices, and public areas.
- Repair and maintain doors, door locks, hinges, cabinets, drawers, wardrobes, and wooden furniture.
- Perform furniture assembly, installation, polishing, and minor restoration work.
- Repair damaged wooden fixtures, fittings, and other carpentry items.
- Measure, cut, shape, and install wood and other approved materials as required.
- Inspect furniture, fixtures, and wooden structures to identify defects and maintenance requirements.
- Attend maintenance complaints and complete assigned work orders within the required time.
- Assist with renovation, refurbishment, and interior maintenance projects.
- Maintain carpentry tools, equipment, and workshop areas in good working condition.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment appropriately.
- Coordinate with the Engineering team and other departments to minimize guest inconvenience.
- Maintain records of completed maintenance tasks and report material requirements to the supervisor.




- Ensure all work meets hotel quality standards and minimizes disruption to hotel operations.

Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum qualification: ITI in Carpentry or relevant vocational training preferred.
- 2–4 years of practical carpentry experience; hotel experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, fittings, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read measurements and carry out accurate cutting, fitting, and installation.
- Knowledge of furniture repair, door maintenance, and basic finishing work.
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures and proper tool handling.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with the Engineering team.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend maintenance emergencies when required.
