Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end technical capital procurement for agrochemical plant projects exceeding 100 crore.
- Develop CAPEX procurement strategies, budgets, sourcing plans, and procurement schedules.
- Procure major process equipment, including reactors, glass-lined reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, centrifuges, dryers, pumps, compressors, and storage tanks.
- Handle procurement of utilities, piping, valves, electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, ETP, and pollution-control equipment.
- Manage RFQs, technical bid evaluations (TBE), commercial bid evaluations (CBE), vendor finalization, and purchase-order placement.
- Lead commercial negotiations with OEMs, EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, and engineering service providers.
- Identify and develop qualified domestic and international vendors for critical process equipment.




- Ensure cost optimization, budget control, and savings through strategic sourcing and value engineering.
- Monitor long-lead equipment, manufacturing progress, inspections, dispatch, and project delivery schedules.
- Manage EPC contracts, turnkey packages, contractual terms, payment milestones, warranties, and liquidated damages.
- Track CAPEX commitments, procurement savings, delivery performance, and project cost variances.

Preferred candidate profile B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.

10+ years in technical CAPEX procurement, project procurement, or engineering procurement preferably in Agrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Chemical Manufacturing
