Business Head – Talent Transformation
HCLTech is seeking a high-impact Business Head to drive the commercial growth and market expansion of its Talent Transformation practice.
This is a revenue-owning, client-facing leadership role — responsible for building a strong enterprise pipeline, closing large-scale deals, and shaping the product portfolio that backs every sale.
You will operate at the intersection of enterprise sales, workforce strategy, and product commercialization — partnering with CHROs, CLOs, and business leaders to position HCLTech as the preferred partner for large-scale talent and capability transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the revenue target for the Talent Transformation practice, with full P&L; accountability across bookings, margin, and pipeline health.
- Lead enterprise sales cycles end-to-end — from prospecting and solution positioning through commercial negotiation and contract closure.
- Hunt and develop recent logos across priority verticals (Manufacturing).
- Build and maintain a qualified, multi-quarter pipeline; drive forecast accuracy and deal velocity through disciplined CRM practice.
- Develop and execute the GTM strategy for HCLTech's talent transformation portfolio across enterprise, mid-market clients.
- Identify whitespace opportunities and new market segments to expand the practice's commercial footprint.
- Build and leverage a high-value network of CXO, CHRO, and CLO relationships to generate demand and shape procurement decisions.
- Lead responses to strategic RFPs and RFIs; own the win strategy, executive storyboarding, and commercial construct.
- Forge partnerships with technology vendors, learning platforms, and ecosystem players that open new channels and co-sell opportunities.
- Serve as executive sponsor for strategic accounts — driving satisfaction, renewal, and year-on-year expansion.
- Translate client workforce challenges into tailored solution narratives that resonate at board and C-suite level.
- Partner with product and delivery teams to shape the portfolio — ensuring offerings are market-differentiated, competitively priced, and scalable.
- Provide market intelligence to inform product roadmaps, packaging decisions, and new offering development.
- Lead commercialization of new offerings: define value propositions, build sales plays, and enable the broader sales team.
- Build and coach a high-performing BD and solutioning team; set targets, instill sales methodology, and create a winning culture.
- Represent HCLTech at industry forums, analyst briefings, and thought leadership events to elevate the practice's market presence.
What You Bring
Experience
- 10–18 years of progressive experience, with at least 6–8 years in enterprise sales, business development, or practice leadership.
- Demonstrated success closing large, complex deals (multi-million dollar TCV) in talent, learning, HR tech, or IT services.
- Track record of building and scaling a practice or business unit with P&L; ownership.
- Experience selling to CHROs, CLOs, and HR leaders at Fortune 500 / Global 2000 organizations.
- Exposure to workforce transformation, enterprise learning, or talent strategy consulting is strongly preferred.
Skills & Capabilities
- Exceptional executive presence — able to command a boardroom and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong commercial acumen: deal structuring, pricing strategy, negotiation, and margin management.
- Strategic thinker who connects macro workforce trends to specific client problems and HCLTech solutions.
- Product-savvy: understands how to commercialize a portfolio and enable a field sales team.
- Data-driven approach to pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and market sizing.
- Familiarity with the learning technology landscape — LMS, LXP, AI-driven skilling platforms, and workforce analytics.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- Certifications in Product Management is a plus.
