Pluto (Neuro-Rehabilitation) The role in one paragraph We are looking for one person to take Pluto to the Indian market. This is a capital-equipment sale to clinicians neurologists, physiatrists, neuro-physiotherapists, rehabilitation centre owners and hospital administrators — and it is won by someone who can hold a credible clinical conversation, run a confident demonstration, handle a medical objection without retreating to marketing language, and then close. For the first twelve months this is a solo territory-owner role with the whole country as the territory.
As volume builds, we expect this person to hire and manage the team beneath them.
What you will do
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle for Pluto across India — prospecting, clinical conversation, demonstration, commercial negotiation, close and handover to installation.
- Convert existing relationships into early wins. We expect meaningful revenue traction inside the first two months from relationships you already hold, while you build the longer pipeline behind it.
- Run product demonstrations in clinics and hospitals, independently, after being trained on the device. • Handle clinical and technical objections credibly — evidence base, indications and contraindications, therapy protocols, dosage, outcome measures, integration into an existing rehabilitation practice.
- Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting, and report on it weekly.
- Work the institutional and channel routes as well as direct — corporate hospital groups, rehabilitation chains, distributors, CSR-funded programmes and government or institutional tenders.
- Feed the market back to us. You will be our closest ear to clinicians, and product, pricing and positioning decisions will be shaped by what you hear.
- As volume justifies it, recruit, train and manage a small regional sales team.
What you must bring Non-negotiable:
- A biomedical, biomedical engineering, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or allied health qualification —
enough scientific grounding to become genuinely fluent on the device after training.
- Demonstrable experience selling medical devices or medical capital equipment in India, with quota ownership
and closed deals you can talk through.
- The ability to speak clinician-to-clinician. Not product-brochure fluency — the ability to discuss patient
selection, therapy protocol and outcomes without deferring to someone else in the room.
- Genuine comfort working alone, on the road, without daily supervision, and being measured on outcomes.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India, though travel will heavily lean towards southern states in the
first 6 months.
Strongly preferred
- Existing working relationships with neurologists, physiatrists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation centres or
hospital purchase decision-makers, which you are in a position to leverage from day one.
- Experience selling in the rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedics or physical-medicine space specifically.
- Experience with a considered, multi-stakeholder capital purchase — a sale involving a clinical champion, an
administrator and a finance sign-off, rather than a single buyer.
- Exposure to a startup or an early-stage product where the process did not yet exist and you built it.
