Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Biomedical Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in hospital equipment management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with medical equipment vendors. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and availability of biomedical equipment across hospital departments.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot biomedical and medical equipment used in various hospital departments.
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate corrective maintenance of medical equipment as per the prescribed schedule.
- Attend equipment breakdowns and ensure timely resolution to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Coordinate with authorized service providers and vendors for repairs, calibration, installation, and equipment servicing.
- Maintain biomedical equipment records, including asset registers, service reports, preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown logs, and warranty details.
- Ensure that medical equipment is functioning safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with Nursing, ICU, OT, Emergency, Radiology, Laboratory, and other departments regarding equipment-related issues.
- Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and demonstration of new medical equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report recurring faults, safety concerns, and major breakdowns to the reporting authority.
- Ensure proper documentation of equipment maintenance and calibration activities for hospital audits and NABH-related requirements.




- Support equipment inventory management and maintain records of equipment movement, repairs, and replacements.
- Guide hospital staff on the safe handling and basic operation of medical equipment, wherever required.
- Follow hospital safety protocols and ensure that faulty or unsafe equipment is reported and appropriately taken out of service.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Management related to biomedical engineering operations.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering.
- Candidates with a relevant diploma and suitable hospital biomedical equipment experience may be considered, depending on organizational requirements.

Experience Required
- 2–3 years of experience in biomedical engineering, preferably in a multi-specialty hospital.
- Practical knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination.

Required Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to coordinate with hospital departments and external service providers.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and Word.
- Good communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Punctuality, professional behavior, appropriate grooming, and discipline.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in a hospital environment.
- Familiarity with NABH documentation and medical equipment maintenance records.
- Ability to handle multiple equipment-related issues and respond promptly to departmental requirements.
