About Rmitha

Rmitha is a GIS and engineering services provider specializing in utility data capture and outside plant (OSP) design for telecom and utility clients. We want to automate repetitive CAD and GIS production work so our team can deliver faster and with fewer errors.

Role overview

You will design, build, and maintain tools that automate our AutoCAD drawing workflows, including measurement, labelling, layer standardization, quality checks, BOM and quantity extraction, and fiber route drawing. You will work closely with our design engineers to turn manual steps into reliable, easy-to-use tools.

Key responsibilities

- Develop AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and/or .NET (C#) tools and plugins for AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Automate repetitive tasks such as batch edits, length and quantity calculations, block placement, title blocks, and drawing QC.
- Build routines that export drawing data to Excel or CSV for BOM and reporting.
- Run batch processing across many DWG files using scripts or AutoCAD Core Console.
- Gather requirements from designers, write short specifications, and test tools on real project drawings.
- Document code and write user guides, and train team members to use the tools.
- Maintain and update tools across AutoCAD versions.




- Support CAD-to-GIS data conversion workflows where required.

Required skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AutoLISP / Visual LISP.
- Working knowledge of the AutoCAD API (.NET with C#, or COM with Python).
- Solid understanding of AutoCAD objects: layers, blocks, attributes, polylines, xrefs, and layouts.
- Ability to turn a manual drawing process into a explicit, testable tool.
- Good debugging and testing habits.
- Clear written and spoken English.

Preferred skills
- Experience with Autocadd or Map 3D APIs.
- Knowledge of GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or FME.
- Python (pyautocad, ezdxf) for scripting and data handling.
- Background in telecom OSP, FTTH, or utility drawings.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Platform Services (Design Automation API).
- Experience with version control (Git).

Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience is welcome.
