- Audit storage conditions (temperature, ventilation, stacking norms)
- Verify segregation:
- Charged vs uncharged batteries
- Valuable vs damaged/leakage batteries
- Scrap and return materials
- Monitor shelf life and charge retention status
- Ensure proper acid filling / dry-charged handling
- Audit scrap battery handling and disposal through authorized recyclers
