Purpose/Objective

The Master Planner will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and developing master plans for Greenfield and Brownfield projects within the Port & Logistics Projects business unit.

This role is critical in ensuring the alignment of project feasibility studies, site layouts, and infrastructure planning with the strategic goals of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ).

The Master Planner will focus on delivering innovative, construction-friendly, and operationally efficient solutions that support APSEZ’s vision of being India’s largest private port operator and end-to-end logistics provider.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Conduct feasibility studies and provide strategic inputs for the conceptualization of Agri Business facilities within Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Define the scope of studies in alignment with project requirements provided by the Business Development (BD) team.
- Develop and finalize site plan alternatives, ensuring compliance with local by-laws, building plans, and statutory conditions.
- Prepare Terms of Reference (ToR) for various studies, including objectives, methodologies, timelines, resource requirements, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Plan and design transport maneuvering and external infrastructure linkages to optimize operational efficiency.




- Maintain a balance between operational focus and business needs while preparing site layouts and master plans.
- Prepare comprehensive Feasibility Reports and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to support decision-making processes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, statutory authorities, and business clients to ensure alignment with project objectives and effective planning outcomes.
- Oversee the management of drafting staff, including recruitment, training, and task allocation to ensure seamless delivery of detailed drawings for execution.
- Maintain a project checklist to monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of planning outputs.

Technical Competencies

Familiarity with local by-laws, building plans, and statutory conditions relevant to port and logistics projects.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in master planning, feasibility studies, and infrastructure development within the ports, logistics, or related sectors.
- Proven expertise in Greenfield and Brownfield project planning, with a focus on operational efficiency and construction-friendly designs.
- Experience in liaising with statutory authorities and managing multi-stakeholder projects.
