Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Linux Systems/Kernel Engineer with 15+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++, Linux Kernel, device driver development, and enterprise system development.
The candidate should have robust expertise in low-level systems programming, Linux internals, kernel modules, device drivers, virtualization, networking, storage, and performance optimization. The role involves designing and developing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and enterprise-grade systems and working closely with architecture, hardware, platform, QA, and product engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain Linux Kernel components and kernel modules using C/C++.
- Develop and maintain Linux device drivers for storage, networking, PCIe, USB, NVMe, block devices, or other hardware interfaces.
- Work extensively with Linux Kernel internals, including: Process and memory management , Kernel synchronization, System calls etc
- Work with Linux boot process, system initialization, kernel configuration, compilation, and deployment.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of critical production issues and drive corrective actions.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership for complex system-development initiatives.
- Contribute to technical documentation, design specifications, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Develop API, CLI, integration, functional, regression, performance, and system-level automation
- Hands on experience on design and support enterprise systems deployed in cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Explore GenAI/LLM-based approaches for code, QA, defect analysis and log analysis.
Technical Leadership
- Lead technically complex engineering initiatives involving Development, QA, Cloud, DevOps teams.
- Provide technical direction to engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Review architecture, design documents, code, automation frameworks, and test strategies.
- Mentor senior and junior engineers.
