We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Engineer / Junior Engineer to lead on-site civil engineering and finishing works. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering plans and ground-level execution, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and up to international quality and safety benchmarks.

Role & responsibilities

Site Execution & Technical Supervision

- Supervise day-to-day civil construction and high-end finishing operations to guarantee compliance with approved drawings, structural designs, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical inputs, practical construction methodologies, and immediate on-site problem-solving to prevent work delays.
- Conduct rigorous, routine site inspections to enforce quality assurance, quality control, and strict on-site safety standards.

Resource Optimization & Labour Coordination
- Calculate exact material, plant, equipment, and manpower requirements for individual work items to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Directly supervise contractors, on-site personnel, and construction labour; delegate daily tasks transparently to keep teams motivated and productive.
- Manage material control protocols strictly to eliminate in office waste, track inventories, and ensure material availability matches project milestones.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate site supervisors to enhance frontline leadership capabilities.





Stakeholder Liaison & Billing Support
- Coordinate smoothly between clients, site teams, subcontractors, and the corporate head office to facilitate seamless workflows.
- Partner with the Quantity Surveying department to verify work measurements, track site progress, and assist in subcontractor bill preparations.
- Proactively engage with local communities and address environmental or zoning issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Progress Reporting & Deadline Tracking
- Establish operational tracking tools to monitor daily milestones against the master project schedule to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Compile, review, and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports directly to the corporate office.

Preferred candidate profile

- A minimum of 4 to 9 years of field experience in building construction, core civil execution, and high-end interior finishing works.
- Expertise in material estimation, bar bending schedules, and construction resource planning. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations on heavy construction sites.

Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and labour-management skills.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, structural designs, and drafting standard daily progress reports.
