ACCOUNTANT (GOA BASED ONLY)

Yuma is an Amazonian, Latin American and Peruvian-inspired riverfront restaurant and nightlife destination coming to Siolim, Goa.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in restaurant, bar or hospitality accounting to manage financial records, monitor daily transactions and support accurate financial reporting across our operations.
THE ROLE
- Maintain daily financial records, ledgers and accounting entries.
- Record and reconcile daily sales from restaurant, bar, POS systems and other payment channels.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and payment tracking.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash transactions, UPI payments, card settlements and POS reports.
- Monitor expenses, operational costs, petty cash and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with procurement and department heads to verify purchase orders, invoices and supplier bills.
- Track food and beverage costs, inventory valuations, wastage and cost variances in coordination with operations.
- Assist with monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, cash flow statements and management reports.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor payments, outstanding balances and customer receivables.
- Coordinate payroll calculations and salary records with HR.
- Manage GST-related accounting, input tax credit reconciliation and documentation.
- Coordinate GST returns, TDS compliance and other applicable statutory filings with management or external consultants.
- Maintain organised financial documentation for audits and tax assessments.
- Monitor budgets and flag unusual expenses, discrepancies or potential financial risks.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy across all financial records.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
- Mandatory experience in restaurant, bar, nightclub, hotel or hospitality accounting.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation and accounts payable/receivable.
- Experience reconciling POS sales, cash, card transactions and UPI settlements.
- Knowledge of purchase invoices, vendor accounts, expense tracking and inventory-related accounting.
- Proficiency in Tally, accounting software and MS Excel.
- Understanding of hospitality cost control and daily sales reporting.
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity and accountability.
- Ability to meet reporting deadlines and work independently.
- Goa-based candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Siolim preferred.
