Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kolkata. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role involves preparing financial reports, supporting compliance with local accounting and tax regulations,



and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors when required. The Accountant is expected to maintain organized financial records, monitor cash flow, and contribute to process improvements in the finance function.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and ledger management.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are a plus.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a corporate or SME setting.
