Job Summary

The PRT - EVS Teacher is responsible for teaching Environmental Studies to primary grade students (Grades I-V), fostering curiosity about the natural and social environment, and developing awareness about sustainability, community, and responsible citizenship. The teacher ensures an engaging, activity-based, and child-centered learning environment aligned with the school curriculum.

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging EVS lessons as per curriculum guidelines (CBSE Board).
- Prepare annual plans, unit plans, and daily lesson plans.
- Integrate experiential learning, project-based learning, and field activities.
- Use teaching aids, digital tools, and interactive methodologies.
- Connect EVS concepts with real-life experiences and surroundings.

2. Student Development

- Foster environmental awareness and responsible behavior.
- Encourage observation, inquiry, and critical thinking skills.
- Support social-emotional development in line with primary grade needs.
- Identify and support students with diverse learning needs.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

- Conduct regular assessments (formative and summative).
- Design worksheets, quizzes, and project assessments.
- Maintain student records and progress reports.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

4. Classroom Management

- Maintain a safe, inclusive,



and stimulating classroom environment.
- Promote discipline through positive reinforcement.
- Ensure proper care of classroom resources and materials.

5. Co-curricular & School Activities

- Organize activities related to environment awareness (e.g., Earth Day, plantation drives).
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and meetings.
- Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary projects.

6. Parent & Stakeholder Communication

- Attend parent-teacher meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate student progress and areas of improvement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.Sc.)
- D.El.Ed. / B.Ed. (Mandatory as per board norms)

Experience

- 1-3 years of teaching experience at the primary level preferred.

Job Types : Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
